Somatic Therapy and Body-Based Healing

Our Therapeutic Approach

I utilize a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities

including CBT, ACT, IFS, EFT, IMAGO, Gottman Method, somatic therapy, and many others – my approach is first and foremost client-centred. We meet one another exactly where you are in the moment and go from there.

My practice is grounded in the profound truth I’ve learned as both a therapist and a client: some of the most transformative and productive therapy emerges from deep and unflinching attunement, witnessing, and being truly believed and understood in one’s experiences. This depth of safety and attunement creates the conditions where significant healing work can unfold naturally.

When you feel genuinely seen, heard, and met without judgment, your nervous system can shift into a state that promotes health, balance, and restorative rest in both body and psyche. This foundational safety allows you to arrive more fully in your current moments and life circumstances, enabling you to move forward with greater clarity, security, and belief in yourself.

Drawing from my background in social justice and community work, I understand that individual struggles often have roots in larger systemic issues, and I bring this awareness into our therapeutic relationship. I believe deeply in the inherent wisdom and resilience that exists within each person, while recognizing how trauma, loss, and social marginalization can temporarily disconnect us from our own strength.

Whether you’re a young adult making sense of your upbringing, a couple seeking deeper connection, or someone navigating a major life transition, my role is to provide that rare experience of being completely witnessed and understood, creating the relational foundation from which authentic healing and growth can emerge.

Somatic Approach – I integrate body-based healing into my practice, recognizing that our experiences are held not just in our minds but in our entire being.
