Anxiety Therapy Vancouver

Services Overview

I offer individual and couples therapy, with options for in-office or outdoor sessions.

Individual Therapy

Support for adults working through life transitions, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and the ongoing work of understanding how past experiences shape present relationships with self and others.

Couples Counselling

Support for partners to build deeper communication, understand attachment patterns, and create more secure, satisfying relationships. I also work with couples in open partnerships and polyamorous arrangements.

Life Transitions

Support for people moving through major life changes, whether planned or unexpected. Counselling helps you process emotions, find balance, and make sense of shifting roles, identities, and relationships as you adjust to what’s next.

Nature Therapy: Walk and Talk

Walk and Talk therapy combines the benefits of counselling with the restorative power of the outdoors. Meeting outside creates a relaxed setting where conversation can flow. Time in nature is linked with reduced stress, improved mood, and clearer thinking. Walking side by side can ease tough topics and help you process emotions. Whether we have worked together for years or you are new to counselling, walk and talk sessions can refresh the process and shift stuck energy.

Locations

  • Trout Lake (John Hendry Park), East Vancouver

  • Forest loop at the base of Willingdon Road, overlooking the harbour in North Burnaby

Both locations have easy-to-traverse trails and classic West Coast scenery.

Areas of Focus

Young Adult Identity Development and Family-of-Origin Exploration
I support young adults in exploring identity through the lens of family history, helping you understand how early dynamics, expectations, and roles shaped who you became. This work creates space to choose what you carry forward and what you leave behind.

Life Transitions and Major Life Changes
I work with people during periods of transition, offering steadiness while roles, relationships, or identities shift. Together, we slow the process down so change can be integrated rather than rushed or overwhelming.

Depression and Anxiety
I approach depression and anxiety by gently exploring emotional patterns, nervous system responses, and the meanings beneath distress. The focus is on regulation, self-compassion, and rebuilding connection to motivation, calm, and pleasure.

Childhood Trauma and Its Lasting Impacts
I work with the long-term effects of childhood experiences, supporting healing through understanding how the past lives on in the body, relationships, and sense of safety today. This work emphasizes integration over re-exposure.

Historical and Intergenerational Trauma
I hold space for trauma that has been carried through families and lineages, recognizing that healing can honour what came before while changing what continues forward.

Adaptive Substance Use Patterns
I approach substance use with curiosity and care, viewing it as an adaptive response rather than a failure. Together, we explore what these patterns have protected and how new supports can emerge over time.

Self-Worth and Identity
I help clients examine the roots of self-criticism and inherited beliefs about worth, supporting the development of a steadier, kinder relationship with the self.

Relationship Dynamics and Attachment
I work through relational patterns using an attachment lens, helping clients understand how they seek connection, respond to closeness, and protect themselves in relationships.

Sexual Intimacy and Exploration
I offer a non-judgmental space to explore sexuality, intimacy, and desire, supporting healing from shame, trauma, or disconnection while strengthening self-trust and communication.

Open Partnerships and Polyamory
I support individuals and partners in consensual non-monogamous relationships by focusing on communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, and secure attachment within complex dynamics.

Dating, Partnership, Marriage, and Divorce
I work across the full arc of relationships, supporting clarity, repair, and processing of endings while helping clients understand repeating patterns and relational needs.

Parenting and Family Dynamics
I support parents and families in understanding intergenerational patterns, strengthening attunement, and building boundaries and repair that foster connection and emotional safety.

Grief
I approach grief as something to be lived with rather than resolved, offering space for loss, meaning-making, and integration at a pace that honours your experience.

Caregiving and Family Responsibilities
I work with caregivers to address burnout, guilt, and role strain, supporting balance, boundary-setting, and reconnection with personal needs alongside care for others.

Belonging and Community Connection
I help clients explore belonging through identity, relationships, and social context, supporting connection that feels mutual, grounded, and authentic.

Meaning-Making and Purpose
I support reflection on values, purpose, and existential questions, helping clients live with greater clarity and alignment rather than searching for fixed answers.

Somatic Work
I integrate body-based awareness into therapy, recognizing that experiences are held in the nervous system as much as the mind. Somatic work supports regulation, release, and deeper self-trust through listening to the body.
